Overview of the Season
FIRST STEAMWORKS, the 2017 FIRST Robotics Competition game, invites two adventure clubs from an era in which technology relied on steam power to prepare their airships for the ultimate long distance race. Teams alliances score by delivering gears to the airship to be pulled up by pilots to engage rotors, collect fuel cells (5″ diameter balls) to shoot into a boiler to score point for raise the kPa pressure, and, in end game, robots climb a rope up to the airship to “prepare for takeoff”. In 2017, TriSonics team had 27 members that works to achieve all goals of the game.
